The experience

Discover one of Aosta Valley's finest ski touring destinations, where wide alpine valleys, remote summits and spectacular descents offer endless possibilities for exploration. Based at Rifugio Benevolo, at 2,285 meters, we will spend three days discovering the wild mountain landscape of the Rhêmes Valley.

Each day brings a new adventure, with routes selected according to snow conditions, weather and the group's level. From classic summits such as Punta Galisia or Punta Calabre to more challenging objectives, this experience combines rewarding ascents, beautiful descents and the atmosphere of a traditional mountain hut.

Practical information

Program A full day of ski touring with an itinerary adapted to the group and mountain conditions.

We’ll meet in the morning at a location agreed in advance. After checking our equipment and discussing the plan, we’ll travel to the starting point and begin the ascent on skins. We’ll take breaks as needed and choose a descent suited to the group and snow conditions. Depending on the route and the group’s objectives, the elevation gain can range from around 600 m to over 2,500 m. The itinerary, pace and timing will be agreed according to the participants’ experience and fitness, and the conditions on the day.

The following equipment is mandatory for each participant:

  • Ski touring skis (with compatible bindings)
  • Ski crampons (compatible with the bindings)
  • Skins (compatible with your skis)
  • Ski touring boots (compatible with the bindings and skis)
  • Adjustable ski poles

During the briefing, we’ll check that your equipment is right for the activity.
If you need to rent any equipment, let me know in advance and I’ll help you find a suitable option.
